Stacey Wall And Weiden+Kenedy Launch Nike’s SPARQ.

nike.jpgThese 2 commercials are amazing. Over the past 8 months the work that Weiden+Kenedy has done for Nike has yet to disappoint me in any way.ITs real and raw and every spot feels right. I am forever a huge fan of director Stacy Wall of Epoch films, every commercial he lays his hands on i am a fan of thus far. The edits on these spots by Lucas Eskin and Andrew Cahn of Mad River Post are perfect. (I couldn’t have done a better job myself;) I cant stop watching them…So i know your going to love them.

Both commercials star a huge number of pro athletes starring in these commercials and here is the list.. LaDanian Tomlinson, Adrian Peterson, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant, Brandon Roy, Diana Taurasi, Matt Holliday, Kyle Harrison; Ryan Powell, Landon Donovan, Hope Solo, Abby Wambach, and Pete Carroll

Well what is this hype all about you may ask…? It is catalyst to launch the new division of Nike called SPARQ, which stands for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness.. A new performance apparel line.. with a pretty badass website for you to check out…each pro athlete has a profile and a web video for you to check out …. www.nikeusmedia.com/nike-sparq-training

    What is the song in the new 60s version of the Nike SPARQ commercial? Was it done specifically for the commercial or could I find it somewhere?

    It’s by Saul Williams. I believe the song is called “I want my money back” .. off an album that’s been around for at least 3-4 years, I believe.

    That is Saul Williams’ “List Of Demands” playing. It was released about 2 years ago on his first major debut.

    “list of demands” by saul williams. All his work is sick, but this song is one of his tops. And no, it wasn’t done for the commercial…its older.
